Information Ombre uses
Ombre uses information you provide so it can open, organize, and play your media. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- media files and folders you choose to open;
- the address and credentials for a personal media server you choose to connect;
- library information, artwork, recent items, and playback progress;
- a media URL from your clipboard, only when you ask Ombre to open it.
Where information is kept
Ombre keeps app preferences, library information, and playback history on your device. Server passwords and retained sessions are stored using the device’s protected credential storage. Ombre does not require a separate Ombre account.
Connections you choose
When you connect a personal media server or open remote media, Ombre communicates with the address you provide so it can retrieve and play that content. Those services are operated by you or by a third party and may have their own privacy practices.
Device permissions
Ombre asks for access only when a feature needs it. For example, saving an image to your photo library requires permission from the operating system. You can review or change permissions in your device settings.
Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your personal information. Ombre does not include third-party advertising. Information is shared only when needed to provide a feature you request, comply with law, or protect the rights and safety of users and others.
Data choices
You can remove a media source, clear locally stored app data by deleting the app, and manage permissions in device settings. Information stored by your personal media server must be managed through that server.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy as Ombre changes. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect. For privacy questions, please use the support contact listed with Ombre in the App Store.
